Our bride:
Nicole's Journey
How It Started
Nicole found THE ONE in mid March 2026 during our soft launch. She had already purchased a dress for her city hall ceremony but knew it wasn't “the one”. It missed too many of the elements she had always envisioned. With her wedding date set for June 20th 2026, she reached out to see if we could make her dream dress a reality on an expedited timeline. We said yes and tried our best to expedite every step.
The Design Consultation
We held our first meeting in mid-March, where Nicole shared a remarkably clear vision for her wedding dress. She envisioned a basque waist with a dramatic V-shaped drop waistline to create a beautifully sculpted silhouette. For the top, she leaned toward a dramatic strapless or sweetheart neckline, balanced by a skirt with manageable volume.
Nicole was looking for warm ivory or pearl tones, crafted from fine satin or delicate lace with light, subtle beading—intentionally avoiding anything too heavy or over-embellished. Most importantly, she wanted to weave delicate floral elements into the design to complement her bouquet. We explored elegant appliqués of either calla lilies or daisies in matching tones to add a personalized touch, finished with a classic laced-back closure for both style and flexibility as calla lilies or daisies are Nicole’s favorite flowers.

The Starter Kit
Before any design work began, we sent Nicole our complimentary starter kit, carefully selected fabric swatches so she could feel the difference between materials and understand the quality of what we work with, alongside a detailed measurement guide. Since Nicole is Bay Area based, she visited our partnered tailor for her complimentary professional measurements.

The Design Process
Our lead designer Katie got to work and came back to Nicole with an initial sketch that captured everything she described, including the calla lily floral elements. Nicole loved the direction immediately. Katie refined the sketch into a detailed rendered design and Nicole gave her full approval. We then created AI renderings so Nicole could get an even better sense of how the finished dress would look in real life. The entire design phase was completed before the end of March, in under two weeks. Please see the next page for the design sketches and renderings.

Fabric Sourcing
At the beginning of April our production team began sourcing fabrics specifically chosen to complement Nicole's dress design. We offer brides the option to have fabrics shipped to them to feel before production begins. Given the tight timeline, Nicole trusted our judgment completely, a gesture of confidence that meant everything to our team.
The Calla Lily Details
This is where the magic happened. Rather than using any standard floral appliqué, we handcrafted the calla lily shapes from scratch. Our team reviewed thousands of floral shape references to find the perfect calla lily form that matched Nicole's aesthetic. We then created multiple handcrafted samples in different shapes for Nicole to review and choose from. Once she selected her favorite, we opened a custom mold to create that exact calla lily shape using the same fabric chosen for her dress. Every petal was made from her dress fabric. Nothing was off the shelf. Nothing was generic.

Production and Updates
Throughout the production process, we kept Nicole updated on progress. She was never left wondering what was happening or when her dress would arrive. Once the dress was complete, we share the finished look with Nicole before it left our hands.

Delivery
We shipped Nicole's completed dress in mid May, a full five weeks before her June 20th wedding, giving her plenty of time for any alterations if needed. She tried the dress on and it fit perfectly. She decided not to do a single alteration.
